10th Annual Nonprofit Director of the Year Awards

The Organization for Nonprofits Executives (ONE), serving nonprofit CEOs in the Greater Phoenix area, announced the recipients of the 10th Annual Nonprofit ‘Director of the Year’ Awards. Each year the awards seek to recognize nonprofit CEOs/Executive Directors who are outstanding examples of certain principles ONE values as representations of excellence in the management and leadership of nonprofit organizations in Maricopa County, Arizona. Jon Schmieder, President of Phoenix Regional Sports Commission, received the Community Partnership Award. The Organizational Leadership Award was presented to Phil Pangrazio, President and CEO of Arizona Bridge to Independent Living-ABIL. Ginger Ward, Founder and CEO of Southwest Human Development, was honored with the AZ Leader of Distinction Award. Ginger’s dedication to the health and well-being of Arizona’s youngest children is genuine and the results of her efforts have been life-changing for so many. Awards, consisting of original custom artwork, were presented to the winners by ONE President Betty Mathis and Neil Giuliano of San Francisco AIDS Foundation (keynote speaker) with the assistance of Brahm Resnik of 12 News as Master of Ceremonies. The awards were presented on the occasion of ONE’s annual Nonprofit Leader Day held on at the Burton Barr Central Library.
