Neiman Marcus presented Chanel Spring/Summer 2012 fashions to the happy few. VIP guests enjoyed a sophisticated and elegant afternoon at Phoenix Art Museum to benefit the Fashion Design Collection. Following the Champagne reception guests viewed Chanel on the runway. The ready-to-wear fashions, previewed at the Grand Palais in Paris, were shown in a sea of white. Styles were pretty in white and pale pastels, ruffles, pleats, iridescent shimmer, pearls and leather. Karl Lagerfeld’s designs are beautiful, the little dresses are especially divine. Guests gathered on the lawn to enjoy lunch on white linen under little white canopies. Tim Braun, Neiman Marcus Vice President and General Manager, presented a Chanel dress to the Fashion Design Collection. The lovely gathering evoked the style and graciousness of Neiman Marcus, understated and fabulous.

March 3 – July 15, 2012: The Sea – Ellman Fashion Design Gallery, Phoenix Art Museum Curator of Fashion Design, Dennita Sewell stated, “This exhibition explores the far-reaching influence of the romance of the sea on fashion design. Featuring ensembles from the 19th century to the current collections, the designs included are drawn from the Museum’s extensive permanent collection, private collections and international fashion houses including Emilio Pucci, Emanuel Ungaro and Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel.
