Arizona Opera announced that Ryan Taylor is its new Director of Artistic Administration and Mindy Riesenberg new Director of Marketing and External Affairs.

“We couldn’t be more excited to have Ryan and Mindy onboard,” said Scott Altman, General Director. “They’re both consummate professionals who will help strengthen our organization as we enter an exciting new chapter in our Company’s history.”
Taylor joins Arizona Opera from Wolf Trap Opera Company in Vienna, Virginia where for three years he served as Manager of Community Development. At Arizona Opera, Taylor will lead the administration of the artistic department working closely with General Director Scott Altman in matters of programming, casting, future planning and technical assistance.  A graduate of San Diego State University, Riesenberg has directed the marketing departments at some of this country’s leading cultural institutions, including the San Diego Museum of Art, Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth, Tex., Walters Art Museum in Baltimore, Maryland and, most recently, at Phoenix Art Museum.  As Director of Marketing and External Affairs for Arizona Opera, Riesenberg will work to expand the opera company’s audience and to help position the company as a national arts leader as it prepares the construction of a new Opera Center on Central Avenue and McDowell Road, across from Phoenix Art Museum.
