The Ritz-Carlton, Phoenix was the perfect setting for Arizona Opera’s Opera Ball 2012 “A Night at the Cabaret.” The evening included cocktails and a luxury silent auction, an elegant four-course dinner, dancing to the music of The Swingtips and cabaret entertainment provided by two-time Grammy winner Sylvia McNair. Funds generated from this event will be used to maintain the educational initiatives and exceptional artistic quality of Arizona Opera. General Director Scott Altman said, “We dedicate this evening to the philanthropic work of Professor Robert and Dr. Shoshana Tancer, and honor the memory of Glenna and Lawrence Shapiro. AZ Highways Robin Sewell served as master of ceremonies for the festive evening. Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona was the presenting sponsor, support also was given by SCF Arizona, Stineway Piano Showroom, Jeanne and Gary Herberger and Mary Jo and David Christensen. |
